Generate Keys Offline
For maximum security, generate your encryption keys on an offline machine and only upload the public key.
Security Notice
Never share your private key. Store it securely offline. Only upload the public key to this platform.
Browser Method Recommended
Use this page offline to generate keys in your browser. Works completely offline, no data leaves your computer.
Next Steps
- 1. Save your private key in a secure location (password manager, encrypted file)
- 2. Copy the public key above
- 3. Go to your company settings and paste the public key
- 4. Never share your private key with anyone
OpenSSL Command Line
Generate keys using OpenSSL on your local machine.
Generate Private Key
Creates a 2048-bit RSA private key and saves it to private_key.pem
openssl genrsa -out private_key.pem 2048
Extract Public Key
Extracts the public key from your private key and saves it to public_key.pem
openssl rsa -in private_key.pem -pubout -out public_key.pem
View Public Key
Displays the public key content to copy and paste into the platform
cat public_key.pem
Python Script
Use Python with cryptography library.
Install Requirements
Install the cryptography library using pip
pip install cryptography
Complete Script
Generates RSA key pair and prints both private and public keys
from cryptography.hazmat.primitives import serialization
from cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric import rsa
private_key = rsa.generate_private_key(
public_exponent=65537,
key_size=2048
)
public_key = private_key.public_key()
private_pem = private_key.private_bytes(
encoding=serialization.Encoding.PEM,
format=serialization.PrivateFormat.PKCS8,
encryption_algorithm=serialization.NoEncryption()
)
public_pem = public_key.public_bytes(
encoding=serialization.Encoding.PEM,
format=serialization.PublicFormat.SubjectPublicKeyInfo
)
print("Private Key (keep secret):")
print(private_pem.decode())
print("\nPublic Key (upload to platform):")
print(public_pem.decode())
